Tax compliance
In the BOE of 7 December last year, the Resolution of the Directorate of Industry and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises was published, initiating the process of public information for the future Standard 19602
This regulation, which is assumed to be approved during the 2019 financial year, focuses on establishing a standard to help companies prevent and manage tax risks.
Thus, this standard is aimed at facilitating processes that allow entities to detect and minimize the risks of possible infringements while, by obtaining the UNE 19602 certificate, it is certified before the Tax Agency and the courts that the entity carries out a series of control actions and processes aimed at complying with existing tax obligations. It seems that, with this, a document is obtained that allows, in the case of being detected some infraction, the application of mitigating factors in case sanctions are applicable and, this, to demonstrate that the entity’s will has never been to defraud or to follow a conduct not in accordance with the regulations.
AddVANTE and Ecogesa are closely following the final approval of the UNE 19602. In this regard, once we have the final draft of the same, we will provide you with a summary of the main aspects and guidelines proposed.
